I suspect the big white tents boasting a great selection of flowers, candies, stuffed animals and Valentine cards will be sprouting up in grocery store parking lots very soon now. Valentine’s Day cards are second only to Christmas cards in the seasonal greeting card business. Along with that most precious of Happy Valentine’s Day Cards, consider adding one of the following gift suggestions.
Restaurant Gift Certificates. Good food for both, no kitchen time or cleanup and fun to share as a couple.
Spa Gift Certificates. Stress reliever to keep your loving relationship on the right course.
Ice Cream Social. An alternative to heart shaped chocolates, this one gets you both out of the house and happily licking the problems of the world together.
Walk in the Park. Free, with the added opportunity to hold hands. I call that priceless, even if you bring the kids along!
Picnic. Inside or out, this one includes food, fun and each others company, just like when you first dated! Include the kids if you must or schedule it for late at night in front of the fireplace!
Valentine’s Day Cards. Pick a nice one but make it personal by adding a heartfelt message in your own handwriting. It is sure to be saved in a memory box for generations to come!
As the saying goes, it is the thought that counts and for Valentine’s Day, that thought is especially important. Give from the heart this holiday!
