As I reached over to hit the snooze button on my clock radio this morning I somehow was conscious enough to hear a discussion that intrigued me enough to Google it when I got to work. It is called My Turn Day. This is what it’s about.
With all the talk about change, wouldn’t it be nice to actually do something personal to effect it? My Turn Day is just such an opportunity. On February 10 every American is encouraged to proclaim something they can do to make a positive change in our country. Do some research, line up an opportunity and on February 10 let everyone know what you will be doing to effect change. Announce it to the world on Facebook, Myspace, Twitter and Linkedin. Email your friends and family, IM it and even write it on your car windows.
Everyone talks about change but this is your opportunity to actually participate in a one day event that will help improve current conditions and inspire others to do so as well. Volunteer to help with a charity, offer to spruce up your neighborhood, pay a visit to a retirement home or offer your special skills to someone that might benefit from them. No offer of help is too small. Just do something!
For more information on the February 10 My Turn Day click here. Once you’ve determined what you will be contributing, share it with us by commenting on this site and others. Doing something positive is good for everyone and can be contagious. Spread the My Turn Day virus today. Stop talking about change. Make it happen!
